Christmas Mural Competiton

Submit a Christmas portrait of your family to win a feature place in our Christmas Light Switch on Competition. Attendees to our event will get a chance to build a 1mx1m mural during our event. The image of that mural could be your family. See your families’ image being built from small building blocks as a building activity during our 27th of November Christmas Light Switch on Event. 1 family photo will be selected as the overall winner on the 10th of October. The winning family must be available to attend on the 27th of November between 11am and 5pm.

Terms & Conditions

The competition is open to anyone who lives or works in Redbridge, including children and young people.
1 lucky group or family will have their image selected to be featured as a centre piece activity to build a 1m x 1m portrait during a community brick building exercise on Ilford High Road on the 27th of November 2021.

How to enter

1. You can enter via email to admin@ilfordbid.com
2. Acceptable file formats include Jpeg and PDF. The resolution of the mage must be of high quality!
3. Email your entries to admin@ilfordbid.com and include your name, age, social media handle, email address & mobile number.
4. You must include the names of everyone included in your image or entry and confirm via email, their consent to use the photo in our activity.

Competition rules

1. Your image must be true reflection of your group or family.
2. Groups or family minimum per photo must be three persons and above.
3. All participants must be looking directly into the camera
4. All participants must be wearing festive attire and have a festive background display
5. Your email must provide confirmation that the image submitted is your own original work and give authority to us to display your submission. Please state this explicitly or else your entry will not count!
6. You must have parental permission and state so in your email if you are under the age of 18 to participate.
7. Entries must be received by midnight on Monday 4th October 2021. No entries to the competition will be accepted after the closing date.
8. Winners must be available on the 27th of November to attend Ilford High Road to participate in the event between 11 am and 5 pm
9. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason and we cannot return any entries.
10. There is no entry fee to enter this competition.
11. Winners will be chosen by a panel selected by Ilford BID.
12. The winners will be notified by email and/or phone within 7 days of the closing date.
13. There is no monetary or voucher reward.
14. Ilford BID’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
15. The winner agrees to the use of his/her/their name in any publicity material.
16. No inappropriate submissions will be accepted and all submissions must be suitable for public display and child friendly.
17. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions, including the display of works submitted.
18. Ilford BID is not responsible for any infringement on copyright or plagiarism. The responsibility will sit firmly with the winners of the competition.
19. Travel and sustenance costs are not the responsibility of Ilford BID.
20. Ilford BID is not responsible for the acts of any contestants or winners either in the past, present or future.
21. Ilford BID accepts no responsibility for not being able to make contact with winners at the contact details submitted within 7 days.
22. Ilford BID accepts no liability for attendees to the event.
23. The mural image will be the sole property of the Ilford BID.
