It is thought that nearly 80% of ‘out of hospital’ cardiac arrests occur at home. Knowing where your nearest automated external defibrillator (AED) is can save lives. If you go to a cabinet and find it is locked, provide the Emergency Services with the cabinet details and they may be able to provide the information you require to gain access.

In the event of a suspected cardiac arrest or heatstroke, the persons present must report immediately any incident to the ambulance service by dialling 999.

Note that the locations on this map were input in good faith to encourage the public to become acquainted with the whereabouts of an AED in their local community. This map does not guarantee that their location and presence is correct or up-to-date. Please acquaint/familiarise yourself with your nearest AED’s physical location ‘on the ground’ in case of an emergency. If you are aware of an installation not, or incorrectly, marked on our map; we would be grateful if you could let us know so we can keep this information correct and up-to-date.
